The challenge
CMDP, an alliance delivering capital works for Southern Water, oversees 150 active projects and supports 90 users across the wider AMP7 investment programme. As part of Southern Water’s broader portfolio of 2,700+ projects and 250 users, reporting was becoming increasingly time-consuming and inconsistent.
Legacy processes relied heavily on manual updates, spreadsheets, and siloed systems. Project data sat across multiple tools, making it difficult to get a joined-up view of performance, risk, or progress. With projects moving fast and reporting demands rising, CMDP needed a better way to keep stakeholders aligned and decision-ready.
The solution
Otoni’s Programme Intelligence platform was deployed to bring clarity, structure and speed to CMDP’s reporting. The platform integrates directly with Primavera P6, enabling schedule updates and programme overviews to be refreshed three times a day.

The CMDP model has since laid the groundwork for a scalable solution that can be rolled out to other alliances and organisations.
